Community Service and overall leadership in how our community develops is a HUGE part of the Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea. What started with our sponsorship of the Kihei - Wailea Boat Ramp has expanded to key roles in the restoration of the Maui Coastal Heritage Trail, Kamaole III Dune Restoration as well as playing leadership and supportive roles in adding picnic tables to Kalama Park, partnership with the Kihei Youth Center, Water for the Fire Department, support of Food Bank drives, along with so much more.
Community Service is such an active part of our club that we divide it into two committees: Literacy and Community. School Supply drives, Keiki Vision, tutoring, and providing dictionaries to every third grade child on Lanai and Moloka'i are just a few examples of our Literacy program.
