According to Rotary's classification principle, members join Rotary as the representative of their particular business or profession. This gives Rotarians the dual responsibility of representing their vocation within the club and of exemplifying the ideals of Rotary within the workplace. A commitment to Vocational Service obliges us to view our respective occupations as an opportunity to serve society.

The Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea supports the Vocational Service through the following initiatives:

• Elementary School Vocational Classes (in partnership with Junior Achievement)
  
• Partnership with Kihei Charter School
• The development of a High School level business ethics or vocational mentoring progam
• Donation of hundreds of 3rd Grade Dictionaries
• Support of the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
• Vocational speakers
• Vocational 'Field Trips'
